Sailor Jerry Custom Brat Chopper

Gasoline rarely just builds a concept motorcycle for ourselves to play with, we mainly work with paying clients on commission builds, and this means we are often restricted by budget and what the client wants. Sailor Jerry is a great client - We’ve worked with them before on many different levels and are great to work with because they trust our judgement and style. At the end of the day we want to make something we’re proud of, but it also needs to translate to their branding and their audience.

The motorcycle we’ve built matches their vintage vibe - classic old school Caribbean cool with the legacy of traditional American tattoo - but we love the technical side of building. Using classic silhouettes and bold lines with the most innovative technology. Kellermann, s&s performance parts, purpose-built moto, motogaget. etc.

It’s not a groundbreaking motorcycle or style by any means, but we like to pay attention to design functionality that will make the rider really love the machine.

We try not compromise on the styling of the machine too much, For example, the brief was to build a vintage-style machine and use the colour scheme and theming of the new Sailor Jerry cans. The cans are cool, they look awesome with the hula girl and all, but it’s red, green and beige, we were not too keen on making these colours the finish of the tough Harley.. Call us safe, but we like black!. We’ve created the Sailor Jerry vibe in other ways and still staying true to the Gasoline brand.

Check out a few photos of the build process.
