The Monster 620 features the revolutionary APTC system, developed exclusively for Ducati. APTC makes gear shifting a breeze and also features a sophisticated “slipper” device which assists in preventing wheel lock-up during down shifting. Its reliability and smooth power delivery make the 620 easy to ride. Plus, the lightweight of the Ducati air-cooled, Desmodue, L-twin engine makes this model a breeze to handle.
Deciding which Monster is right for you is just the beginning of the adventure. Beautiful hand air-brushed tanks, billet aluminum parts, carbon fibre accessories, multiple exhaust systems and literally hundreds of customizing parts to change the look and enhance performance are available. A Ducati Performance customizing catalog is standard equipment with your new Monster.
Once again it’s the job of the Monster 620 machines to provide the entry level to the Ducati range of naked bikes. All equipped with the less intimidating twin cylinder 629cc engine with APTC clutch (the slipper clutch developed by the Borgo Panigale engineering team to provide a lighter lever pull and prevent rear chatter during hard deceleration), the 2006 comes in two versions: the 620 Dark, with twin front discs, and the 620 classic, in two colour versions.
